Admission To Hospeace House

At Hospeace House, there is never a charge for the care we provide to residents or their families.

All potential admissions are coordinated by our Director of Operations in collaboration with our Resident Care Team. To inquire about admission or to discuss a potential referral, please contact us at 585-374-2090. We are here to answer any questions and guide you through the process with care and compassion.

Referrals may be made by anyone—including potential residents, family members, friends, physicians, social workers, or hospital staff.

General Guidelines for Potential Residents

Hospeace House is a Comfort Care Home dedicated to providing compassionate, end-of-life care in a peaceful, home-like setting. To ensure we can provide the best possible support, the following guidelines help determine eligibility for admission:

• A diagnosis of a terminal illness with a life expectancy of approximately three months or less
• A personal desire and willingness to reside at Hospeace House
• Ongoing care under a private physician or hospice provider
• An understanding and acceptance that no life-prolonging or life-sustaining measures will be provided
• Awareness that care is delivered by a combination of trained volunteers and skilled staff members
• The individual’s care needs must be safely manageable within our home setting
• Admission is based on need, regardless of financial situation, race, religion, gender identity, or background
